On Thursday, April 7, 2011 our sweet Audrey Grace was born. She was born at 9:48pm at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. She weighed 8lbs, 1oz and was 21 1/2 in. long. Griffin and I couldn't be more in love with our little girl. She is just perfect and we can't stop staring at her.

Snow Storm 2011
I forgot to post the pictures of the snow storm we had this winter! It was incredible - I've never seen so much snow. I felt terrible for Griffin. Since I was pregnant I could not help with any of the snow removal. He was out there for HOURS cleaning off all of the snow. He had to shovel and snowblow because the snow was higher than the snowblower. Work was cancelled for both of us so it was fun spending the day together. We watched a movie and worked on the nursery together. Other than the scary feeling of being snowed-in and Griffin's sore back - it was a fun day! One we will definitely remember.

Baby Showers
Griffin and I were blessed with four beautiful showers. Three we knew about and one a surprise! (And really, we were showered with love and gifts throughout the pregnancy - we are blessed).
Kathy hosted the first shower at her home and it was just perfect. She did a wonderful job and Paula provided sweet, homemade favors and organized the games. Meredith hosted the second shower and bravely invited 40+ people to her home. She worked very hard and it showed. Lauren provided the favors and they were so creative. There is a picture in this post of the chocolate bar covers that she made - I love them! Then, two close girlfriends of mine in Milwaukee hosted a third shower for me. They had a beautiful brunch spread and even their sweet husbands helped out - they watched the kiddos while we enjoyed the shower. Lastly, I was surprised with a baby shower at work. There were lots of tears (me) when I realized what was going on - I felt very loved.

We are pregnant!!
Griffin and I were thrilled beyond words to find out that we were pregnant. We still remember the day so clearly that we learned - it was an emotional, beautiful and special day that we realized we would be expecting a miracle in April 2011.

Thanksgiving 2010
We had a few days of Thanksgiving celebrations. First we had Thanksgiving at my parents house and the food was delicious as usual. The Ewalds joined us and it was so fun to see the kiddos play together. Then over the weekend we celebrated Thanksgiving again with the Ewalds and Cencers (Kathy's family) at Marcus and Kathy's newly-built home in Naperville. They have been dreaming of this home for sometime now and it was so wonderful to finally see the finished product. It is amazing! Well worth the wait!
