Our 2nd Anniversary!

Griffin and I spent the weekend in Madison, WI for our second anniversary. It was the perfect weekend. We stayed right on the square and walked everywhere. We really enjoyed the huge Farmers' Market Saturday morning. We had the famous Stella's Hot & Spicy Cheese bread and other delicious finds. We toured the Capital building and then that night was the Taste of Madison and we saw Danny Gokey in concert (an American Idol contestant). Sunday we biked through campus and along the lake - it was beautiful! We had a fabulous weekend.

Ewald Family Vacation in Lake Geneva 2010

Rudy and Paula rented a house in Lake Geneva for the week and we were all able to visit for a few days. There was golfing, shopping, swimming, eating and lots of laughing. Sydney could not get enough of the pool - and she was one brave girl! She jumped into the pool with no fear and did not want to be caught. We were all so impressed.

Nora Riley Mork

Our dear friends Nate and Amanda Mork announced the birth of their daughter Nora Riley Mork on 6/24/2010. We couldn't be happier for them! Nora is such a little angel and we love her.

BBQ with our Small Group

Here are some pictures from our barbeque with our couples' bible study group. It was a beautiful day outside with great food and even better company. Little Elliott decided Griffin was his best friend that day and I couldn't stop taking cute pictures of them together throughout the night.

Inspired to Cook

We were inspired by both our Italy trip and the fresh basil and tomatoes that we picked up at the Tosa Farmers Market to make our own pesto and bruschetta! We used the pesto to make a chicken pesto pizza and it turned out great. We still had lots of pesto leftover so we decided to try and make spaghetti squash. We've never worked with spaghetti squash but thanks to Google we found a video online on how to prepare it. Definitely different from traditional spaghetti - but still good!
